About Brian
My name is Brian Staver and I am running for the Florida House of Representatives, District 54.
I was raised in a small farming community outside of Washington, D.C, called Vienna, Va. After graduation, I wanted to serve my country and see what the world had to offer. So I decided to join the U.S. Navy.
After my honorable discharge from active duty in 1985, I moved to California and eventually went to work for and retired from Cisco Systems. While there, I had several life-changing experiences. I changed my registration from Republican to Democrat. I started a family, watched my two daughters grow into outstanding adults, and married my lovely wife, Sherri.
We have four children and one granddaughter, two daughters who live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a daughter, a son, and a beautiful granddaughter who live in Pennsylvania.
While working at Cisco Systems, I joined the American Red Cross (ARC) and San Jose Search and Rescue (SJSAR). As a member of the ARC, I deployed to New Orleans, where I supported efforts to help feed and shelter hundreds of people affected by Hurricane Katrina. While serving with SJSAR, I performed multiple searches and rescues.
After I retired from Cisco Systems, Sherri and I decided to move to Florida. We settled down in Wesley Chapel’s Watergrass community. After settling in, I decided it was time to fulfill a lifelong dream and run for office.
As a candidate, I am asking for your support as a volunteer, as a donor ($20.22), and, most importantly, as a voter. I would be very grateful for your support and vote!
Thank you for your time.
Remember to stay safe, and please wear a mask when out and about.
